In 2022, Briar Prestidge and her team locked themselves in a hotel room in Dubai and filmed Briar’s avatar adventures in the metaverse, over two days, non-stop.
They travelled to 33 worlds in virtual reality and across metaverse platforms, including to Burning Man, Nikeland, Fashion Avenue, and MetaDubai. Briar met and interviewed 21 unbelievable metaverse leaders from all around the globe, and learned so many incredible things: From how VR is being used to support patients undergoing chemotherapy, to how people are customizing their avatars and avatar ethics.
Of course, spending so long on virtual platforms came with challenges, as you will see in the documentary.
They had a four-perspective camera set up. Two cameras filming Briar and her team locked in the hotel room, and two cameras will reveal what they saw and experienced on the virtual platforms.
